Clean and friendly choice for travellers who spend more time outside their room.
Clean and friendly with reliable WiFi. The little pool is a nice touch and most rooms open onto a communal courtyard. We appreciated the 24/7 reception. The basic facilities, despite the faux-lavish style, means this hotel is best for travellers who spend much more time outside their rooms than in them.
If you like bread/cake for breakfast you'll be satisfied by the generous portion - it just wasn't for us. While Palacio Canton is close to the ADO bus station, the hotel is away from the nicer end of town.

Memorable place, distinct. Most staff spoke little English, but place felt very Mexican!
History of the building fascinating and not ostentatious or modern but very Mexican. Beautiful pool, ceramic tile, garden. Jungle next door. Candles lit every evening, family run, actual home of grandparents. Clean rooms responsive staff.
Breakfast included was ok, would have liked fruit yoghurt, though. Just toast and sweet cakes offered with coffee and juice. Bedspread had sequins which were uncomfortable. Not much shade for outside eating or sitting.

Very friendly staff.
Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast (bread, coffee, juice). Comfy bed. Good value for money. They also let us leave our bags at the concierge while we went to the cenotes near the town (about 10mins away by taxi) in the morning.
The bathroom drain clogged up the first night but the staff were able to address the issue pretty quickly.

The staff was nice
The bed was uncomfortable, the shower flow was poor and the room had a smell and feeling of dampness. I would recommend to check the room before you enter.
